I love old church cook books or woman exchange recipe books. When I went to an antique store a few months back I found four wonderful books. One of them was a 1964 "The Woman Exchange of Memphis Cook Book."
In this book there was a wonderful recipe for stuffed mushrooms that I just had to try (I have also seen on the Internet recipe real close to the one in the book, minus a few things that my book called for. I went a head and made them.)
Here is what I did.
I took some Bella Mushrooms and washed them.
Put a spoon in and push out the stems.
After taking the stems off I washed them again.
I Put the stems, 8 oz. of homemade cream cheese (ok, I had to guess because I don't have a scale), a clove of garlic, and one bottle of bacon bits and mixed them all together (yes, this isn't the healthiest thing in the world but taste great when it's done.)The other set of Stuff mushrooms called to mix 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese, 1/2 bread crumbs, 1/4 grated onion, 2 cloves of garlic, 1/2 t. of oregano, 1/3 c. 1/2 t. salt and 1/2 t. ground pepper (olive oil and melted butter to be pour over each mushroom after stuffing.)
I then stuffed the mushrooms.
Oh, they are looking good to me already!
I then cooked them in the broil for 10 min. on low boil.

Weather- When it rains it pours. We have been spending some time back in Ohio and our Beavers haven't taken any time off. Well it rained a lot here and we had a ton of water going OVER our road today (not a good thing to drive over, I know..)
Here is just a short clip of one of the spots that was covered after it started to slow down and drain off more, believe it or not it was worse then this earlier (we had more like this further up the drive too.)
Here is what some of the land looked like after it drained some more.
