The way I make simple Biscuits.

2 cups of Flour (self-rising)
2 tablespoons of Shortening.
3/4 cups of kefir (milk kefir.)

Oven 450 degrees

Add your shortening into your flour. Smash the shortening and mix into the flour. Add your kefir milk a little at a time to make a soft dough.

Put dough on floured board and knead LIGHTLY (I have been told the number 1 mistake for working with dough is that people OVER knead.) Only knead this for like 1/2 a minute!

Once you kneaded it, flatten it out to about 1/2 inch on your board. Cut with your biscuit cutters or use a clean can to cut it! Place on a baking sheet and cook for about 10 minutes.
