Turning Milk into cheese? Not this time. Let's turn it into PLASTIC instead.

By looking at the pictures up above, do you know what I am trying to do?
Some MIGHT say making cheese again, well your right and WRONG at the same time. I learned something new just the other day and I had to give it a try.

The first picture I took Goat milk, Vinegar, and cooked it on the stove. Oh, yes your thinking cottage cheese again.. NO, No, your wrong. Think PLASTIC! That's right I am TRYING to take Milk and turn it into plastic.

The second picture I am working on it in the microwave (I just wanted to see if it made any difference.)

It's funny that I have been making cottage cheese for a while now and didn't know I could also make beads to put on something for my daughter to wear at the same time. Talk about Multi-tasking. I love this.

Here are two wonderful sites (yes, the one is a CHILDREN'S site but heck, goes to show you what you can learn from little ones if you only listen/read..hee..hee..)

These pictures are of some I was just playing with. I added food coloring to them to see how well they'd still dry with that added (I was going to add Rit dye but changed my mind.)

******I'll try to take some more pictures once I get the beads done (If, I ever get this to turn out I'll be back to post pictures. Wish me luck..lol.. Right now I'd say it just needs more time to dry but I could be wrong. In a few days I'll follow up this post with the results.)

Ok, another thing I worked on today was more soap for myself. I love my handmilled soap. Sorry, I can't share my new recipe with you this time because I am saving this one for my book.

I can tell you what I did to fancy up my soap tho. I added sugar. I didn't cook it in the soap but right before pouring it I added some on the bottom of the mold. Then I poured some soap added some more sugar. Then more soap and then I topped it off with more sugar. I can't wait to use this stuff.

This week should be a very busy one for us. I may not have time to post a lot.

I may have a video to share for those of you who want to learn to clean chicken. That's right, on Monday I am going to a chicken farm and helping/learning to clean 50 chickens! I am going to tape it for my own use later on but I may upload it for those of you who really want to learn how to do this (of course it's not going to be pretty but if you want to learn, as I do I will post it for you.)

Well off to school I go. Today is Open House.
