That left me to do that job. That's right this girl moved all that hay at 55-60 lbs each by herself (the hay in the picture below wasn't the ONLY hay we had to get. Yes, believe it or not we have lots more to unload. We still have another 40 bale that we paid for that we have to go pick up.) Needless to say I did NOT workout or ride my horse those days (I'll get back to that here soon. I figure that was a workout enough in itself.)
I am calling the doctor today and getting Jon in to see him because he is still having a hard time breathing.
About getting traffic to your site- I have been working on this one and still am. lol
From what I can tell it looks like I get the most traffic from having a pattern over at Knitting Pattern Central then anything else.
I am going to try "Free Virl" to see if it increases traffic or not (I read about this on another bloggers site.) I do have to say it looks a little corny but I am going to give it a try (I'll let you know if my traffic increases as much as they say it will or not.)
Here is the link I am supposed to put in my blog to get more traffic.

Food-
Don't have an ice cream maker but still want to make ice cream? Here is a site for you.
Rug making-
I just LOVED how this woman made her rope rug. I think I may try this with some of my hay twine that I dyed with rit dye (by the way my hay twine rug is still holding up! I love those.)

Fiber-
I had to come back and add this to my post today. For those of you that don't own a fiber swift but want one you gotta check this out over at knitting without needles!
Goat news and recipe for you all-
I made Cottage cheese for the first time today (I had no clue what I was doing but it turned out tasting like what I recall cottage cheese tasting like. Maybe a tad dryer but I am not sure because I haven't had cottage cheese in years..well by itself that is.) Ok, I don't even like cottage cheese but I wanted to make it because my mother likes it and if she ever gets a chance to come and visit I want to be able to make some up for her. :)
I got this recipe from the WONDERFUL woman who I bought my goats from.
Bring it to 180 on your stove.
Take off your stove and add 1/8th cup of Apple Vinegar.
Then pour it over cheese cloth.
There you go, you have Cottage cheese.

I am sure there are many other ways to make it but this is the recipe that was shared with me and that I tried. Like I said before I made it I wasn't a fan of cottage cheese and I still am not but it does taste just like what I thought it would. I believe my mother will enjoy it and I will make it for her when she gets time to come visit.
My wild strawberries are done but guess what is getting ready for me now, wild raspberries! Yes, that's right we have those too. We did take a lot of these off our land because they had some thorns on them but I still have a few left! I can't wait to make some jam out of these.

I also played around with making some more handmilled soap.
This time I used
3 bars of Ivory (see Milli I listen..hee hee.. I also believe Bonnie may be working with playing with some Ivory also. Please, let me know how yours turns out. I like this one but my color turned out an ugly brown.)
1 cup of goat milk
3 teaspoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of coconut oil (I used this to make this soap harder, Ivory is soft as it is. Next time I would add one more tablespoon of this to my recipe because I'd like it a little hard yet.)
1/2 teaspoon of Vitamin E
The last of my wild strawberries and a couple that were not wild. I did this more for color and because I didn't have enough strawberries to make jam with this time. So, soap it became!
3 tablespoons of Eucalyptus dried
2 tablespoons of apricot seeds.
I let it cook for a while. About 30 minutes.
Oh, I used the little plastic things that they sell ice cream in for molds this time (I just used the kroger brand type.)
