Yikes, we have a bat in our house! I am in my bedroom, my daughter is in the bathroom, and my son is in his room. None of us are leaving the rooms we are in. My husband, Jon is working on getting the bat out of the house now...
So, I guess I will share some more sites that I have come across while my husband is getting this bat out of here.
Loom knitting
New issue of Loom Knitter's Circle is out! Looks great once again.
All around crafts
There is a new issue of Stop the Ride! One of the things that got my eye was the post on Stuffed Grape Leaves...Yummy!
Interesting Read
I happened to come across Jeff Vail: Energy Intelligence site. I love how he breaks it all down. I would have never guessed that with 1/3 of an acre of land you could feed 1 person. Very interesting.
Horses
I believe I have talked about Patches the horse video before but I can't seem to find it. So, maybe I haven't. So, click here to see about Patches.
Rodeo
Loose Bull at a Rodeo! I love watching rodeos (on TV.) I have been to them in person to watch my sister's son ride but I am not crazy about bulls. So, I watch them on TV. Click here to see a clip on a bull that got out!
Update on Cherokee today
I have to say I miss her a lot. She was one of the two horses I have/had that really loved people in general (not just one person but everyone.) I miss having her greet me at the gate and wanting to be groomed. She was so easy to work with too. I miss her.
I did get an e-mail from the new owners and they are happy with her. They said that she is doing great and that they had her saddled up and rode her (no bucking or anything like that.) They where very impressed with the way she acted and her ground manners. He also called her a, "awesome little horse."
It made me feel so good to know that she is being loved and being cared for and that she has a job now. I know she'll love being rode and that she'll do her best for her new owners. I can't wait to see her at fair time and I hope she wins a lot for them!

Ok, I just had to get back on here and tell you how the strawberries turned out.
This was a first for me (I couldn't tell you the difference from Jam or Jelly..lol.)

First I washed them. Then I cut them up and washed them again.
Then I put them in a pot to cook. I added a bunch of sugar (I know, bad girl..) Then I added Pectin (two packets because I had lots of strawberries and sugar.)
Then after cooking it for a while (I am guessing like 20 minutes.) I put it in clear jars. Now, I did decide not to do the whole canning deal for my first try out. So, I guess this would make this Freezer Jam.

Then I put the jam inside the jars and put the lids on them (Both jars and jam where hot!) After all of that it only made 9 jars but it's really good tasting!
