You all got me hooked on goat milk ice cream (I think that is the right grammar for it too! lol. I am not making fun of the goats but myself really.)
Ok, so I wanted to spice it up some on my own.

Here is what I did (mind you this might have taken 5 years off of our lives because there is so much fat in it but boy was it good. I keep telling myself "Moderation baby, moderation." It is some good ice cream tho.)
3 wonderful cups of goat milk
2 cups of sugar
4 cups of HEAVY whipping cream
3 cups of French Vanilla International Delight (I think they put some kind of drug in this stuff it's so good.)
1/2 tsp. of salt

I also added some chocolate chips but not the real waxy kind because I don't like those with frozen ice cream. I put in the Hershey (brand.)

*I did not cook my milk like some recipes call for. I don' t know why they say to do this. I am sure there is a reason why but I did not do it and I love this ice cream.I put all of that in my Rival Ice Cream maker. I let it go for the full 40 min. Then I let it sit in the freezer all night (because it was a little thin to be eaten that night but I can't lie I tried it and boy was it good.)

Now, the only way I could see this recipe being ANY better is if I added some Bailey's (the new stuff with the caramel added) and maybe some Kahlu'a. Then just a little whipped cream on top of that! See, the old bartender is still in me...lol.. If, I did that tho I couldn't share it with my kids and they really enjoy this ice cream so no liquor.

I want to send a big THNAK-YOU to all of the nice people on the goat boards. You all have been wonderful sharing all your information on goats with me. You have saved me many hours in reading books looking for an answer or bothering my vet with yet one more phone call from me. Thank-you!

I also wanted to post something today about an article I just read online on a local site that I visit a lot. In this article it says that "Foreclosures in Ohio increased 23.6% from 2005 to 2006 with more than 79,000 filings in 2006."

That's a lot of foreclosures that's for sure. I wish there was something I could do to change our economy. I keep hearing all these things and it just bugs me. I wish I had some answers that would change things but I don't (I am going to sit down and think about it tho.. Who knows maybe this crazy lady can think something up some day that may help us out.)

If, you are someone facing a forclosure from what the article said it looks like there maybe somethings that you can do to help yourself out.

Here is a link to the site so you may read it if you'd like.

Spring is here (I can't wait until my work is done so I can enjoy some time in the saddle.)

I took the goats out for their time outside today (I am taking it very slow because the first time I put them out too long and poor Veronica was feeling it.)

Click here to see a video of the goats playing around.

Kids are feeling better. All the animals are doing great. We had our septic tank issue taken care of, Jon got his truck fixed, and I haven't been hit by any ducks in the last few days!

I am feeling spring time!
Here are how some of my plants are doing.

I have a little tomato growing!

I am all smiles. I need to put my foil down yet and add some egg shells this week but this plant seems to be doing ok!

My ferns just started to come up! Some are a little faster then the others but they are starting to come back again!

My strawberries are coming back nice again this year. I do need to thin them out (that's a weekend project but I am going to thin these out and start another patch up along the side of the house. I love good strawberries.)

Here is my Peonies tree. Some of you may remember this being my stick of death (I had it posted on my old blog. It looked like just a stick.) Well it's looking good this year. It's now 3 years old. Yes, I know I have to cut the grass around it. I guess I am behind on my gardening. I'll get there tho.

I can't wait to see the flowers on this plant this year. I sure hope we get some nice ones. It has about 4 of them from what I can tell that look like they are getting ready to open up.

We will also be going to the FIBER FEST this year over in Wooster! I hope to see some of you there. I'll be sure to post pictures.
