Product review

*the shirt my daughter is wearing is one of my loom patterns! You can purchase the pattern on my other site.

The machine we used is call "Soap Creations" and it's made by Innovations. This is the same company that made the candle machine that we reviewed a while back on here for you also.

Cost of machine? $34.99 at Hobby Lobby.

What do you get for your money? One 16 oz. Glycerin Melt and Pour Soap Base, One Reusable Soap Mold, One electrically heating base, Removable drip cup, and one Melt and Pour Carafe with Locking Lid.

What I like about this product- Ease of clean up. The only things you have to clean are the dip cup, and the washable carafe (your wooden spoon also if you use one. One is not included. I did use one myself.)
The other thing that I really like about this product is the lever-switch on the Carafe. You pull it to start to pour you soap but let it go to stop. The soap will slow down and then stop with ease.

What I didn't like about this product- I would have liked to seen more molds and more soap included in this kit. You only get enough soap to make 8 very small bars of soap (which means that you have to fill the one mold up and let it sit before you can do your second batch. It says to let the soap sit for 20 minutes before you take the soap out of the molds. So, you have to wait at least 20 minutes before you do your second set of soap.

Extra's that I bought from the beginning- I also bought the refill kit. In the refill fit you get 3 reusable soap molds (which I liked), 2 lbs. of Glycerin Melt and Pour Soap Base, and 1 ounce of Concentrated Liquid Soap Scent (which isn't half bad.)

Would I buy this product all over with- Yes, because of it's ease to use and ease of clean up.

Other notes on this machine- Tons of warnings in the directions on this machine. Even tho melt and pour seems to be one of the safest ways to make soap they have to cover their butts so people don't sue them when they do dumb things. Like don't put into water when plugged in! Don't let children use it (even tho that it is also sold in stores in or around the children's departements.lol..)

***yes, my daughter did help help me with this project but children should not run this machine (per the directions of the soap maker.) So, if you are one to follow directions have an adult use this machine. If, you do decide to let your kid's help make sure you are right there and they don't do one of those dumb things (that kid's just might do) and you, your kid, or things around you all get hurt. By no means am I saying to let your kid do this (I don't want to get sued either. My daughter is in this picture more to show how an adult would do it. Only two of us here to do this project and I am better with the camera.)
Today is day four of our game. Don't forget to keep looking around between this blog and my other. Hint....It's not all the way at the top of any of the post. Another little HINT... "watch out for the horses you never know what you might step in."

Here is the twine after 24 hours and after being rinsed off. I forgot it outside last night so mother nature is giving it an extra rinse today for me.

I put them in sections and started just to play around a little with it (I am not going to use those braids that I put in it in the picture. I just did that to see what the colors looked like being mixed.) I wasn't sure where or how to work with it but hanging it on the fence is working pretty well. I can get a little tension with it this way.

I put this project on hold today because it's on and off raining here. I also want to read up on what I want to try to do with this project. I have it my head what I want it to look like but I am not sure how to go about making it happen. I think I know but thinking and really knowing is two different things. lol..
