Today we did Candle making (no school again today because the weather was too cold.) the kids really enjoyed making the candles.

These start up kits are pretty easy to use (once you get the legs on them..lol.) I have the "Candle Creations" by Innovations company. Pretty simple to use but they don't give you a lot of wick or wax (which is no big deal but I was kind of surprised at how little they give you in the package.)

The other thing I wasn't crazy about is the button to close the lid. It's cheap and a little off (but then again the whole thing didn't cost much either) but it does close it.I made sure that I was the one to shut it because I wouldn't want the kids to push it too hard and accidently knock the whole thing over and get hot wax on them.

One thing nice about it (besides being pretty simple to use) is that you can use old candle wax or wax you might have around (I don't like being stuck having to buy something over and over from just one company to make it work. I thought with this product you might because of the little pellets of wax but you don't have to which is great.)


I bought this one right after the holidays. I have found year after year that is the the best time to buy these type of things. You pay a fraction of the cost.

You know there is something funny about using something ELECTRIC to make candles..lol. Just doesn't seem right but we still had fun.
