I have been talking with a few people about some of the things I do with hay twine. A few of them put links to my site (which is very cool to me.) So, I thought I better put a few pictures of some of the things on here. I don't have pictures of everything on here but I will update it again.

I love to work with the plastic orange hay twine the most (easier to work with on the hands.) Not only that it makes the BEST darn outside rugs. The dirt from your shoes will fall into the holes of the knits. The twine is strong and holds up. When it's dirty you just get your hose and spray. They are my favorite outdoor rugs ever.

The other twine I like because of the color. I also like to mix it up with yarn. I have a few pictures of the belt and anklet I made up so I'll attach that below. It also can make nice purses if you mix it with yarn (I'll get a picture of one I have done on here.)

This next picture just shows how you can play around with it. I was weaving and knitting this rope type of twine into a rug. The rope is harder to work with but you can see how pretty it can be when knitted and weaved.

I did not do it but as you can see in the last picture if you were to make them longer and attach the right stuff to it you could make some pretty reins up with it too (I weaved in a yarn that I bought from the dollar store to make it. It didn't take much because the twine is the filler and the yarn is the covering.) Instead I attached the buckles and made this into a belt for myself.

well, just got here by accident ;) but as I'd seen this I remembered my time in Arkansas, when I used heystring and wool to make a bridal for our horse, since the leather one broke: I did it in makramee, used the heystring as inside and the woolyarn for the deco/colors around it

Pittyom,
Wow, it's great that you could do that. So, many people wouldn't have known what to do and then what?!
I think that's pretty neat that you did that.
